Welcome to our site and thank you for dropping in. We hope you'll decide to join us for a Sunday celebration service!

First, you're likely wondering what the Columbia River Spiritual Center is.

To make a long story short, we are a spiritual place for all people. We welcome everyone regardless of gender, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, place of origin, religious/spiritual affiliation (you probably get the picture by now). We find joy and celebration in diversity and welcome all forms of creative expression.

Our services are not your usual "run of the mill" style services. They often differ from Sunday to Sunday and offer a very relaxed, non-traditional church atmosphere. We'll have some music (and encourage dancing), meditation, sound bowls, yoga, drumming circles and so much more! (This doesn't all happen each and every Sunday, so don't worry. We promise to not exhaust you.)

We are currently meeting at Clark Community College, located at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, WA 98663. We meet in the Gaiser Hall building. Park in Green Lot 1 and enter through the Bookstore entrance. (Check out our Contact page for a map.) Someone will be there to greet you on your way in!

ABOUT US

What do you believe?

We don't believe in any one religious or spiritual path and feel that each person's walk with God, the Source (insert your own Deity here) is personal. In that, we honor the universal truths in all religions and spiritual paths and respect each individual’s right to choose a spiritual path that works for them.

Source

We believe that Source is Spirit, the Divine Energy and Infinite Wisdom which is everywhere present and operating through all creation.  At Columbia River Spiritual Center, we might refer to this Source as Life, Light, Love, Substance, Principle, Law, Universal Mind or That Which is Greater. We welcome each person to have a relationship with their own Deity, in the way that works best for themselves.

Humankind

We are individualized expressions of Source. Our fundamental nature is divine and our purpose is to express our divine potential as demonstrated by many spiritual teachers.  We believe that you existed before you assumed your current body and that you will continue to exist after you relinquish it.  You are an eternal, spiritual being having a temporary, physical experience!

Spiritual teachers

We believe that many spiritual teachers throughout history have expressed their divine potentials to high levels and sought to show humankind how to do the same.

Spiritual texts

Columbia River Spiritual Center uses many different spiritual texts.

Creative spiritual expression

For you, this may mean dancing, painting, writing, prayer, meditation, drumming, sitting in nature (you get the gist). We believe God speaks to us in different ways and that those ways should be expressed and celebrated!
